1. Sri Krishna North-Indian Veg Restaurant
The place is run by A.R. Sharma and wife Santhosh Devi for a decade now. The restaurant is tiny and looks
makeshift (PVC roof and chairs, half walls, et al); it can seat 20 at a time. The food here is basic — dal,
roti, subzi and rice. With minimum masalas the food is kept simple. A meal comes at Rs. 40. The menu
comprises not more than six items — thali, mini lunch, aloo paratha, chapathi, lassi and curd rice. Open six
days a week (closed on Sundays and Government holidays). Parathas are available from 10.30 a.m. to 3
p.m. and from 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. For thalis and chapatis, the timings are between noon and 3.30 p.m.
and between 6.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. Good, wholesome, hygienically prepared food is what you get here.

2. Venkteshwara Boli Stall
Started 15 years old boli stall churns out 5,000 bolis everyday. There’s sweet boli, masala boli, coconut boli
and dal boli. Their jangiri has a very good name and their paruppu podi and idli podi are famous too.
Ayudha Puja and Deepavali are the biggest days when it comes to business. Situated a little after or before

3. Bakes ‘n’ Corner Juice World
Saji V.S. from Thrissur and brother-in-law Shyamsundar started Juice World 10 years ago. Located just
beside Adyar Bakery on C.P. Ramaswamy Road, this juice stall enjoys wide clientele, with bikes and cars
stopping by till close to midnight, and about 15 people work here to prepare and serve the 25 varieties of
fruit juices and milkshakes available, ranging from watermelon, papaya, grape and pomegranate to
butterfruit and rosemilk. Only mineral water is used.

4. Guru Bhai’s Stall In Parrys Corner
The tandoori chicken selling at Guru Bhai’s stall get sold out as soon as they are made around 7 pm. This
place, devoid of any furniture is a great street food experience. Chicken and mutton biryani are served in
