Mudivil Oru Aarambam – Play

Kalakshetra Foundation is organizing a new dance drama titled ”Mudivil Oru Aarambam… Hidden Truths”, using classical dance and music, the dance drama explores the lives of three young Bharatanatyam dancers. It is choreographed by Shyamjith Kiran. The dancers are Shyamjith Kiran, Girish, Jayakrishnan, Sanjith Lal, Viraja, Revathy, Sathyapriya, Sruthi and Nishanthie. Nattuvangam is by Hari Padman while the live orchestra comprises Eswar Ramakrishnan (vocal), Sheejith Krishna (mridangam), Sashidar (flute), Ananthanarayanan (veena) and Rijesh (violin). The music is by Jothishmathi, Sheejith Krishna and Eswar Ramakrishnan, while script and dialogue are by Prof. Raghuraman. Main Rahi Masoom

Theatre Group is celebrating its 15th Anniversary by presenting a Hindi play titled ‘Main Rahi Masoom’ by Sutradhar. There will be two shows at 3.00 Pm and 7.30 Pm. It is directed by Prof Bhaskar Shewalkar. The play is a biographical sketch of the famous Hindi and Urdu writer, the late Rahi Masoom Raza. Solo performance will be given by Vinay Varma. Jigsaw – Presented by Masquerade

This is the latest offering from Masquerade and it is about the journey of an actor. The play will be staged at Alliance Francaise, College Road, on March 27 at 7.30 pm.

Theatre workshop at The Madras Terrace House

To celebrate World Theatre Day, two days of work shops will be held at The Madras Terrace House. The session on Friday, 27th March is for women and on Saturday, it is for a mixed group.
