Yagnaraman July Fest is a tribute to the founder of the Sri Krishna Gana Sabha. There are some very good programmes coming up during the next few days till July 2, 2009. Given below are the details.

Famous names have choreographed the performances on the theme of Sankhya (numbers). The dances are likely to be scintillating because some big names are included.

Prerana Shrimali is a very big name in the field of dance and she will present Shadruthu on July 2, at 7.45 pm.
This concert, presented by Exodus, pays tribute to Stevie Wonder and celebrates World Peace. It has all the big names in Chennai Music – Sunita Sarathy, Benny Dayal, Anu Cheyyur and Devan. They will be supported by big names – Keith Peters on Bass, Viji Cheyyur on Keys, Jeo George on Drums, Joshua Raj on Guitars, Allwyn on Percussion and Mathew Littlewood on Saxophone.

This drama created a sensation in Kerala. Primus Events which is now celebrating its 10th year in business is now bringing this drama to audiences Chennai. The centre of attraction of this drama is a haunted house. The presentation and everything else about this drama – the sets, DTS sound effects, lightning, thunderstorm – are larger than life. There is a scene where a large jumbo jet lands on the stage. 200 artists perform in this show and tribal dance and music add to the fun. The show is being staged at the Island Grounds at 4 pm and 7 pm. Tickets are priced at Rs.100, 150 and 250. The shows will go on till July 12, 2009.
Evam is staging their production titled “An Idiot for Dinner”, adapted from a French Movie – Le Diner de Cons. This is a comedy play and is their first English production for the year. The play will be staged at Sivagami Pethachi Auditorium on June 27th at 3.30 pm and 7.30 pm. Tickets are priced Rs.150, Rs.300 and Rs.500.
