The Fifty Fourth Gokulashtami Sangeetha Utsavam
The music concerts during Gokulaxhtami Sangeetha Utsavam are dedicated to Legendary

Unnikrishnan at REACH Annual Fund Raiser
This is a fund raiser for charitable causes (for those with tubesrculosis) and the star is the popular Carnatic
vocalist and playback singer Unnikrishnan. It will be held on October 9 at 7 pm at the Mandapam, Hotel
Sheratorn Chola, Cathedral Road.
Western Musical Potpourri
The Madras Philharmonic and Choral Society presents a potpourri of music. Excerpts from various musicals
such as My Fair Lady, Oliver, Pinafore and 42nd Street have been set to music. The director is Joe Baynes
and Music Direction is by Victor Philip. On Friday, 9th October at 7 pm at Museum Theatre, Egmore. Donor

A R Rahman Live in Concert
This live programme of A R Rahman is in support of A R Rahman Foundation and The Shakti Foundation.
Star cast includes Hariharan, Savamani, Sadhna Sargam, Blaaze, Benny Dayal, along with other celebrated
Indian singers. The massive 80 by 120 ft stage with pyrotechnics during the show and huge fireworks
aftgerwards are some of the highlights.The performance will be at Marg Swarnabhoomi on ECR, after

Friends of Dakshinachitra, the support group of DakshinaChitra Heritage Centre is presenting the
acclaimed dance production ‘Radha Yevide’ by Kalaimamani Gopika Verma, Music Director
M.Jayachandran and Poetic interpretation by Padma Shri Sugatha Kumari .
Kalaimamani Gopika Varma is a professional performer and has received many prestigious awards Her
Mohiniattam is marked by extreme grace and fluidity of movement, transmitting radiance through
expression combined with purity, sanctity, precision and technical finesse.
‘Radha Yiveda’ is the latest dance production featuring Gopika Varma along with her students.
