The music concerts during Gokulaxhtami Sangeetha Utsavam are dedicated to Legendary
G.N.Balasubramaniam in his birth centenary year. Particulars of the concerts this weekend are:
Friday, 16th October at 6.30 pm
Sriram Gangadharan will present a vocal concert, accompanied by Usha Rajagopalan on the violin,
Poongulam Subramanyan on the mridangam and V Anirudh Athreya on the Kanjira
Sunday, 18th October at 6.15 pm

Charsur Arts Foundation- Injikudi Presents Subramanyam (Nadaswaram) & Party on 16th October, at 6 pm

VDS Arts Academy presents Adithya Ram in a flute concert. R.Shyam on the violink, R.Akshayaram on
the mridangam and S Krishna on the ghatam will accompany him. At MOP Vaishnav College, Nungambakkam, on October 18, 6 pm.
At 7.15 pm on the same day and at the same venue, M Prulpriya will present a vocal concert. Shraddha
Ravindran on the violin and Thalignaiyaru S Harishkumar on the mridangam will accompany her.
This programme of music presented by Lakshman Sruthi Orchestra will have music played the old way,
without special electronic sound effects. Playback singers Mano and Malathy are the main singers. For

To celebrate the 80th birthday of Swami Daynanda Saraswati, 96 dancer members of ABHAI, Association of
Bharatanatyam Artistes of India, will perform a special dance programme. It is choreographed by the
Association’s President and danseuse Padma Subramanyam. At Kamaraj Memorial Hall, on October 19, at
5.30 pm.
This play based on the famous movie by the same name is directed by Freddy Koikaran, choreographed by
Denver Anthony Nicholas and produced by Neesha john-Koikaran. The show will be held at Museum
Theatre, Egmore on October 17 & 18 at 7.30 pm.
This popular comody play will be staged on 18.10.09 at 4.00 pm at Kalaivanar Arangam.
