Ghananjani – a programme with the masters.

The Sakti Foundation presents the 18th annual fund raiser ‘Ghananjani’, a music concert.
Artists Zakir Hussain (tabla), U.Shrinivas (mandolin), Sivamani (percussion), Dominique Di
Piazza (bass guiter) and Stephen Devassy (keyboard) will take part in this program. The event
will be held at 6.15 Pm on February 21st at the Music Academy. Donor passes priced at

Mahashivarathri 2009 – Night long Satsang with
Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev

MAHASHIVARATHRI, which falls in February / March every year, is very significant among the
festivals of India. This night celebrates the Grace of Shiva, who is considered the Adi (first)

Mitafest ’09 – celebrating Diamond Jubilee of MIT

MIT celebrates its Diamond Jubilee Year and Mitafest. This year’s highlight is a concert by
Anuradha Sriram and a rock show by Karthik on February 20th. A video jockey workshop
by Pooja and Gibran of SS Music and Levis fashion show on 22nd February. Professional shows,
Adzap, Treasure Hunt, Potpourri, Quizzes and funfilled events are part of the other schedule of
the programe. Mitafest has been held for the past 60 years in MIT. This is one of the oldest
college festival. The programe is for three days and four nights at the college campus.

U.K.Muralis Music Nite

U.K.Murali is a unique singer who has sung for 18 hours nonstop on 25 different voices. He
has his own light music orchestra called Udaya Raagam Innisai Mazahai. They have performed
shows in all south Indian languages like Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. In
Chennai this orchestra is giving its performance at Kamarajar Arangam, on 22nd Feb at 6.00
