Madhubani Painting workshop for Adults.
DakshinaChitra, the Heritage Museum is organizing a two day Madhubani workshop for Adults on 10th
& 11th Oct 09.
Madhubani, which in literal translation means forest of Honey was originally practiced in Bihar.The painting
was traditionally done on freshly plastered mud wall of huts, but now it is also done on cloth, hand-made
paper and canvas. Madhubani paintings mostly depict nature and Hindu religious motifs, with the themes
generally revolving around Hindu deities. The workshop would make motifs on Terracotta Vase and on
Handmade papers with the use of Poster colors.
The workshop fee of Rs.750 is inclusive of materials and refreshments.
Conveyance to and from Dakshina Chitra, will be provided.
Participants should bring their own lunch.

capturing that one singular moment that could indeed change the way we see things – things that we
would simply ignore and move on – are brought to life through the lens with an extraordinary eye for
detail. He is a passionate trekker & photographer of the Chennai trekking club, avid blogger & writer in
