Children’s day workshop at DakshinaChitra
DakshinaChitra, the Heritage centre is organizing Children’s day workshop on November 14th 2009.Children get together and enjoy a day of fun learning with craft activities and folk performance.

The plethora of activities will include workshops on card modeling, glass painting, candle- making, origami, pottery, folk dance, treasure hunt and traditional games

Fees Rs. 500/- per child (inclusive of material , transport and refreshment). Lunch should be brought by the participants.

Art Exhibition “Allamaram”
“Allamaram” an exhibition of Paintings, Mixed-Media and Digital Art by P.Panju will be on show at Dakshinachitra Art gallery.
P. Panju, holds a degree in visual communications from Loyola College, Chennai. The artist compares his thoughts and expressions to the branched roots of Allamaram. According to the artist, his works are about transformation and discovery of inherent qualities of objects and situations, which are clarified and displayed by the juxtaposition of role and context brought about by the working process. The show will be inaugurated by dancer- choreographer Prabhu Deva at 10 am on 6th November 2009
