Apparao Galleries Presents Marco Polo’s Diaries

Apparao galleries is organizing ‘Maco Polo Diaries’, an exhibition curated &co-ordinated by
Apparao galleries at
CLUBHOUSE, Taj Mount Road, Chennai. Marco Polo’s Gourmet journey
Venice to Beijing via Chennai opens on Monday 31st August ‘09 between 1900 hours 2030 hours
at BREW. There will be special music by Anil Srinivasan, Karnatic Pianist, matching the mood
and theme of the exhibition. The exhibition continues till Wednesday 9th September’09 at
CLUBHOUSE between 1930 hours till 2300 hours.

Marco Polo’s Daries is an exhibition and sculptures of art invoking the spirit of the traveler and
his encounters. Artists and photographers will bring to this show, a thread from the pages of his
dairy, entwined with their own work and lives. Inspired by Marco Polo’s portrayal of life, the artists
will give us a glimpse of the boundaries that their creativity can break.

The exhibition will feature the works of 14 artists
Rahul & Gunjan, George K, Varun Gupta, .Jenny Bhatt, Smriti Dixit, Sudhir Pande,
N.Ramachandran, B O Shailesh, Debesh Goswami, Benitha Perciyal, Ram Rahman

Taj Mount Road is on Club House Road, opposite Spencer Plaza.

Dressing up for Onam

Kalpastree has come up with a kasavu collection for Onam. There are traditional cream kasavu
saries and also modern ones with attractive colours – baby pink, mauve, leaf green etc. Saris have
been embellished with kalamkari motifs and block prints. For men, dhotis, set mundu and dress
