02 Nights & 03 Days Package in exotic Nelliampathy

This tour is for those who get excited by the discoveries made while exploring nature at its pristine
best. The very fact that this is not a very popular tourist destination is its major draw. The hills of
Nelliampathy are a delight to adventure lovers and trekkers. The bungalow where you will stay
will serve as an ideal camping place for trekkers. The temperature at these ranges varies from 15
degree Celsius in December to 30 degree Celsius in April. The lovely climate and green magic of
the hills provide an exhilarating and unforgettable experience.

A geographic paradise, Nelliampathy on the high ranges of the Western Ghats, offers a stunning view of the Sholayar Pass lying deep down in a 20-mile stretch of velvet green. Certain hills especially Seethakundu of Nelliampathy ceases abruptly to form cliffs overlooking the panoramic valley below. These ranges of the Ghats are at an altitude of 467 m to 1572 m above sea level and the pass have a dominant influence on the climate of the region.

To reach Nelliampathy one has to negotiate at least 10 hairpin curves on the Ghat road, through the breathtaking evergreen forests of the Sahya Ranges ( Western Ghats ). From these hills can be seen the calm, tranquil Pothundi Reservoir in the valley down below. Pothundi is built across Meenchadyppuzha and Padippuzha the tributaries of The Ayalar River (a sub tributary of Bharathappuzha). Small and big waterfalls frequently punctuate the rich greenery of the forests hugging these hills. Among these, the one at Seethakundu, the 100-meter waterfall is a major attraction.

Nelliampathy, spread over 82 sq km, has the highest peak at Nellikotta, which is also called
Padagiri. The hills dipped in the pristine beauty of nature are sprinkled with picturesque tea,
coffee, cardamom, vegetable and orange plantations

Feel the thrill of adventure at Adventure Zone

“When was the last time you did something for the first time?”

You are keen on walking on the edge…… and feeling the excitement and thrill of adventure
sports – parasailing, rappelling, rock-climbing, camping or scuba diving? Want to get a taste of
life on the thrill side, your adrenaline flowing bounteously?

Then you need to take a trip to ADVENTURE ZONE 45 minutes ride beyond Mahabalipuramm,
on the way to Pondicherry. The company is run by a former army commando instructor with
specialised training and over 20 years experience in adventure sports. He is a perfectionist
and is dedicated to providing the best value for money. Adventure Zone adheres to stringent
safety norms, ensuring a 100% safety record.

The site is 90 km from Thiruvanmiyur, 85 km from Kathipara Junction and 11 km from
Madhurantankam – set on 11 acres of beautifully landscaped property in peaceful green
countryside. Here, you will find a 50 foot high, artificial climbing and rappelling wall, obstacle
course, shooting ranges, and courses other funky outdoor games like Caterpillar Race and
Pythagoras.

Accommodation is in spacious Swiss Cottage-style tents with bunk beds and luxurious toilet
blocks. The catering is in-house and excellent, with both veg and non-veg options. It’s a
perfect “rough it out in luxury” set-up. The infrastructure is fully geared to catering for
programs ranging from camping to full-fledged OBTs and Team Building events or any other
soft skill training. They can accommodate up to 150 participants.

Tour Itinerary for One day group tour to Adventure Zone
Departure from Chennai at 7.00 am.
Arrival at Adventure Zone at 9.00 am and Break fast
Activities start around 9.30 am

The following 3 adventure activities will be conducted during the camp
a) Rappelling.
b) Rock-climbing
c) Air Rifle and Air Pistol shooting
d) (For Other activities, charges will be extra).

Lunch: around 1.30 pm – The menu consists of veg and non-veg items, served as a buffet.
Return Journey Starts at 5.30 p.m and reaching Chennai at around 7.30 p.m

3. Fly bee, volley ball, Tumbola and other activities (you normally do
not get the time to indulge in these activities).
4. Snacks on the way

Cost:
The per person cost for a minimum group of 20 persons with Out-Bound-Training is Rs.1750.00
The per person cost for a minimum group of 20 persons without OBT, but with all activities -
Rs.1000.00. This will cover:
1. Travel in Non-a/c vehicle
2. Breakfast, Lunch, Mid-morning and afternoon tea/coffee with snacks.
