1 Night / 2 Days Package to Madurai

Madurai has an importance on accounts of the name it has earned for its monuments symbolizing
divinity and heritage. Madurai also blends tradition and modernity in many aspects.

The tour of this week allows a peep into another not so well known aspect of Madurai. We are
inviting you to discover the majesty of the city, the natural beauty of its surroundings and take
time off to discover one of the largest fun centres of Tamilnadu.

There are several places of tourist interest in the vicinity of Madurai. Kodaikanal, Courtralam and
even Thekkady in Kerala are all destinations you can cover from here. It may be a wonderful idea
to do a tour of this city along with a tour to one of the several places near Madurai.

Located in Madurai 12 km from the city, near the Vaigai River, the Athisayam Amusement park
is a marvelous entertainment center for children, adults and old. The water theme park has
enough for all kinds of people. The Athisayam Park is famous for its cleanliness and safety. There
is abundance of excitement on land and also adventure in water. Athisayam has grown over the
last five years to become the largest in the area (Athisayam was born on 2000). The Water Park
has sports rides for everyone for the thrill seeker as well as for those who seek more relaxed
activities. The fun begins at 10:00 am when the gates open.
Very reasonable prices, safety, cleanliness of Athisayam and the friendly, helpful attitude of
Athisayam’s employees are the main reasons for the continuing success at drawing crowds. Also
every year some new activity or the other gets added – such as the recent additions of the
Octopus, Space Walk, Free-fall etc. There are more than 50 rides in the park.

Tour Itinerary – 01 Night & 02 Days package

Day 01

Arrive at Madurai station and transfer to hotel, after breakfast drive to Alagarkovil, a village
Situated very near Madurai at the foot of the range of hills called Alagarmalai. From there start
trekking through the forest area. At noon return and assemble in a common point and drive
back to city for lunch. Afternoon visit Gandhi Museum and evening at Thirumala Nayak Palace.
After the light and sound show return to evening return to the hotel and Overnight stay.

Day 02

After breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to “Athisayam” the Theme Park. Enjoy full
day at the Theme park. Evening go for darshan at Meenakshi Amman Temple
and from there proceed to the Railway station for your onward return Journey.
Tour Cost: Rs.1700/- per head
