Yercaud

is an ideal location for those who love peace and quiet. This hill station has not been overly exploited by commercialization. Here, you do not get the teeming crowds youencounter in Ooty or Kodaikanal. And, the scenic splendor of Yercaud has to be seen to bebelieved. Tucked away in this quiet hill station situated about 6000 ft above sea level, there isa 100 acre sprawling coffee estate which is the focal point of our discussion.

It’s a regular, fully functional coffee plantation. Besides coffee, oranges, papayas, pepper and more grow in abundance. And right in the heart of this natural magnificence you will find what you have been looking for – exclusive eco-friendly dwellings complete with every convenience. You can experience life at the Estate as it really is. Nothing is planned but every comfort is at
hand.

Go coffee-picking for a change. Or spend all your time listening to the deafening silence. Or
take long rambling walks along a brook, or across a rope bridge that leads to a hill with a
view. Or go trekking or trout fishing in a private stream. Or pretend nobody or nothing else
exists, except you and the mist and the birds and ice blue skies smudged by wispy clouds that
ballet dance low over head. At the Estate, you can really get in touch with your inner self.
Exclusive, eco-friendly tents equipped with modern conveniences that let you enjoy the
adventure without too much of the discomfort. You can choose between:

Tent – Pepper: Accomodates 4 people comfortably. With enough space for one extra bed.

Tent – Clove: Ideal for a romantic holiday. Accomodates 2. With space for an extra bed.
Tent – Cardamom: Accomodates 4 people comfortably. With enough space for one extra bed.

Tent – Cinnamon: Accomodates 4 people comfortably. With enough space for one extra bed.
Dormitory (All Spice): Perfect for large groups, conferences and conventions.

Then, there is the tree house with hot water facility and western toilet, all this at 140 feet off the ground… You get a fantastic view of Salem from up there. It is Ideal for a Romantic Couple, game for a bit of adventure as well. If necessary, the tree house can also accommodate 4 people comfortably.

We can also have other activities like Barbeque, Camp Fire, Trekking, Sight Seeing.

Cost of accommodation

Cost per person for the entire facility of tents, dormitory, tree house – including food Rs.950 per
person.
Children 5 to 12 years at half price. (Does not apply for Tree House accommodation).
Please note, the above cost covers only the accommodation and food charges.
Depending upon your requirement, we can work out the cost of transportation, train fare,
trekking & camp fire charges.

A day out in Pulicat

We have conducted several outings to Pulicat, and without exception, every group has come
back thrilled with the beauty of the place and the way we have organize the picnic. Pulicat is
indeed a great place for a day out in the sun with your friends or family. The real attraction of
this picnic is the opportunity to spend about 3 to 4 hours in a boat, sailing in an expanse of
shallow water. There is hardly any risk. With summer round the corner, the best time to enjoy
Pulicat is fast coming to an end.

Location
Pulicat is a small town in the Tiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu state. The town is situated
towards the north of the capital of Tamil Nadu, Chennai city and is about 60 kilometres from
the place. Pulicat largely consists of the backwaters of the adjoining sea which is Bay of
Bengal. The lake, called Pulicat lake, situated here constitutes a great picnic spot for
Chennaites.

Pulicat is steeped in history. It was an important base for the Dutch during the 16th century
and there are still remnants of those years, for those interested in history.
Pulicat is one among the biggest Lagoon with boating facility situated in the top edge of Tamil
Nadu, comprising little islands, bird sanctuary with availability of excellent sea foods. The
water in the lagoon is shallow. It is a safe and exotic location, ideal for picnics. During winter
season, you get to see migratory birds and it is a great sight.

Suggested Programme:
8.00 am start, 9 am break fast, 11 am boating 1 pm lunch, 2 pm resume boating, 4.30 pm
snacks, 5 pm return, 7 pm reaching Chennai.

1. Pulicat lake boating,
2. Visiting Bird sanctuary,
3. Visiting Sangamam, where lagoon meets the sea.
4. Housie, volley ball, fly bee, & other group games.
